Vundavan: Shri Radhavallabh Temple of Vundavan has a special significance in itself. In Shri Radha Vallabh Temple, devotees can get darshan of both Shri Krishna and Shri Radha together but here Radha-Krishna are a couple. They are not two but one. Krishna is present in Radha and Radha is present in Krishna. They are united. There is also a folk story about this temple that the darshan of Shri Radhavallabh is very rare.
The Lord gives darshan only to those who have true faith in their love and who have complete faith in the Lord. The biggest belief of Shri Radhavallabh Temple is that no one can have darshan of it on their own free will. One can get his darshan only when Lord Radhavallabh wishes.
A story of this temple is also related to Lord Shiva. It is said that Brahmins were great worshipers of Atmadev Lord Shiva. He performed rigorous penance to get the darshan of Lord Shiva. Pleased with his penance, Lord Shiva asked him to ask for a boon. The Brahmin soul asked Lord Shiva to provide him with something that was dearest to his heart. Then Lord Shiva manifested Shri Radhavallabhlal from his heart.
The Shri Vigraha of Shri Radhavallabh was given by Lord Shiva to the Brahmin Atmadev when he went to perform penance on Mount Kailash. Besides, Lord Shiva had also told him the method of serving Shri Radhavallabh.
After this, the descendants of Brahmin Atmadev continued to serve him for many years. But Lord Radhavallabhlal was brought to Vrindavan by Hitharivansh Mahaprabhu, a follower of Shri Krishna, when one night in a dream, Shri Radha ordered Harivansh Mahaprabhu to take his form from the Brahmin Self and establish it in Vrindavan. Sampradacharya of Radhavallabh temple of Vrindavan tells that Harivansh Mahaprabhu came to Vrindavan with Radha Vallabhlal and sat at Madanteer, which is called a high place, and built a temple of creepers.
When his elder son Vanchanmahaprabhu ascended the throne, during his reign, the first temple of Radha Vallabh ji was built here, which is the oldest temple of Radha Vallabh ji in Vrindavan. Describing this, Sampradacharya says that Radha Vallabhlaal, both are a couple in one. In one half there is Krishna ji and in the other half there is Radha ji, both are the same form.
Guru Radharani of Harivansh Mahaprabhu gave initiation to Harivansh Mahaprabhu, so this Radha Vallabhalal of Harivansh Mahaprabhu who is a couple and the small throne which is seated next to him is the throne of Radharani in the Guru form. Harivansh Mahaprabhu’s Guru Radharani on whose throne he established
The same saying related to this has been most popular for about 500 years, “Radha Vallabh darshan is rare, sudden darshan cannot be done by any power.” This is a game of the heart.” If there is emotion and love in the heart, then only darshan will take place. If someone wants to come with his own strength, he cannot come.
That is why the devotees of Shri Radhavallabh, to please their Lord, sing praises of him, sing bhajans and kirtans for him, try to please him by fanning him. When someone desires to see Lord Radhavallabh with full devotion, the Lord definitely appears to him and removes all his troubles. All wishes are fulfilled at the feet of Shri Radhavallabh.
